Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of maintenance team in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in packing plant facility.

Education and/or Experience
Technical degree or certification, management experience, supervisory experience, experience in industrial/production environment
Communication Skills
Fluent English speaker
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must provide succinct and intelligent summaries of maintenance issues to senior management
Math & Science Skills
Algebra, Geometry, general accounting skills
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
Reasoning Ability
High. Must rapidly deduce root cause of operational problems and determine appropriate solutions.

- Analyzes and resolves production, operations, or facility issues often under time sensitive conditions issues.
- Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- Oversees workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Works with President and Vice President of Operations to design schedules and work requirements for long, complex projects.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Specs and purchases parts, tools, and equipment for repairs, upgrades, and modifications to equipment. Requisitions and keeps supply of necessary spare parts.
- Oversees maintenance and repairs of forklift fleet.
- Maintain and enforce preventative maintenance plan.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Interprets and communicates company policies to workers and enforces safety and food safety regulations at all times.
- Actively participates on the Worker Safety Committee and the Food Safety Committee.
