- Produce/update weekly schedule for work centers based on customer requirements, as balanced with available capacity & resource availability.
- Review customer orders and changes in sales orders (including EDI changes) and add/update work orders as necessary to balance requirements with capacity/resources available.
- Make recommendations to Operations regarding the prioritization of production work flow to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure that proper levels of finished goods inventory (safety stock) are maintained to support repetitive customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with Operations regarding scheduling changes and other issues.
- Coordinate manufacturing support activities between the various departments to accomplish scheduled work orders.
- Provide best ship date for order inquiries from Customer Service.
- Schedule nonstandard labor and rework operations as required.
- Process ECN’s (adjust open work orders as needed) accurately.
- Attend (as assigned) and provide input to daily production meetings.
