QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR, AMZ MFG.

FUNCTION:                         Quality Control
LOCATION:                         100 Boxwood Lane, York PA, 17402
JOB TYPE:                            Full Time
SHIFT:                                  2nd
HOURS:                               40 hours per week (Over-time when needed)
EDUCATION:                       Minimum of a High School diploma
EXPERIENCE:                      0 - 2 years in a related field

Essential Functions:

  • Attendance – On time and at work on all scheduled work days
  • Ability to speak, read and write English language
  • Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted
  • Standing, stooping, bending and reaching overhead
  • Ability to travel between 2 facilities during a shift

Job Overview
The quality control inspector has responsibility for inspecting customer parts. The mission of this employee is to ensure customer parts are processed in compliance with the Purchase Order, Drawings, and specifications. This position will require daily communication with internal team members, and supervisors for the purpose of providing status of parts to Customer Service and communicating defects/non-conformance issues to Production Management. Some of the tools and systems used to facilitate this process will be email, production control software, and verbal communication. 
 
A basic understanding of plating, painting, powder coating, customer and government specifications, sampling plans, and measurement equipment is required. This position will need to be able to interpret drawings and read other instructions that communicate the service to be provided for a given part. This position may also be required to assist in chemical analysis of processing solutions. In addition, the associate may have to assist in sorting parts, counting parts, and packaging parts. There will be regular communication to your direct supervisor. Performance metrics for this position will be Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Productivity and other specified objectives.
