What Our Students Are Saying
Enhance Leadership Skills and Foster Team Work
Becoming certified in CPIM has enriched my knowledge in Supply Chain Management and Business Planning. APICS provides the prospective student with skills to excel in many different aspects of an organization. I gained valuable insight on industry standards, also perspective on how to choose and apply theories and how to engage in successful change management and continuous improvement. These strategies can likewise enhance leadership skills and foster team work. At the end of the journey, it was gratifying to be able to apply the CPIM credits towards my undergraduate in Supply Chain Management.
- Jolene Herb, CPIM
Career Enhancement
Earning my APICS certification provided a great foundation of supply chain concepts and impelled me to take classes to earn maintenance points and pursue a related certificate. I am able to utilize company education funds for the related coursework leading to career enhancement and continued education. The APICS curriculum ultimately offered a knowledge base on which I can build with my subsequent classes and training, and prompted me to learn more about supply chain and other functional areas/business units.
- Leah Holmes, CPIM
Well-rounded Perspective
Studying for my APICS certification solidified Accounting and Inventory Control concepts learned at DeSales University. Course instructor, Richard Donahoue, challenged students to think critically, and encouraged students to incorporate learned material into their daily Supply Chain activities. The CPIM program provided me with a well-rounded perspective, which has proven to be invaluable while working at C. F. Martin & Co., Inc. as a Domestic Operations Cost Accountant.
